How do you create a shortcut to "Log Off" in windows 2000?
As we have a user that just does not know how to log off,
thus the only way of getting round this, is to create a
short cut to the log off command.

Many thanks

Oli

I strongly suggest that you do not cater to this user in this way, unless
there's some sort of a handicap or something. And stupidity is not a
handicap. If the person wants to work in today's business world and you
require that the user log off of his computer, it is his responsibility to
learn it. I'm sure the person knows how to turn off a lightswitch.

That said, I believe the command is:

RUNDLL32 USER32.DLL,ExitWindowsEx

I completely agree. Sadly, all the people with the stupidity handicap
have the power (and the inclination if I tried this on them) to can me
posthaste. Dammit. 8)

Have you tried adding Log Off to the Start Menu? (Right
click anywhere on the Taskbar, click Properties, Advanced
Tab and in the Start Menu settings put a check in the
"Display Log Off" box.)
