I've done lots of Presentations in the past and have always had to go into
the design screens before running them. How do I turn my ppt presentation
into a pps one?

Hi Andreas,

Click on File, Save As, Change PPT to PPS (PowerPoint Show)
using the drop down arrow.

All you have to do is change your filename extension from ppt to pps. it will prompt you that the file may be unusable, but click yes. The icon will change and the file will be a pps presentation.

Thanks ... that was a great help

Can I be stupid and ask you how I do that?

Either while in Explorer, right click the file, and select rename, change the
extension from ppt to pps. Or, from within PowerPoint, using either the Save or
Save As, from the file type, select PowerPoint show.
