How do you convert powerpoint presetation to play in a dvd player?

I'm trying to convert powerpoint presentation for a birthday party this
evening but it will not play in dvd player. Any suggestions will help.

your easiest option may be to save just a series of JPG images...write them
to a blank dvd....pop it in the dvd player... most modern players can
'slideshow' a series of jpg images
