I want to burn a lot of musics on a CD using the mp3 file, but I can't do it
because most of my music are in the Windows media file. How do I change it
so it could burn as an mp3?

There are conversion programs available such as the Windows Plus package.
This package will also allow you to extract tracks from records. There are
also some free ones on the internet that I'm sure will be recommended by
others. If you don't want to invest in one and are willing to spend some
money on blank CD's, do the following. Burn the WMA files to music CD format
and then rip them back to MP3's. This will also remove any security within
the music. This is not practical for large libraries but it will give you
some CD's that will play on non MP3 players.

Convert your DRM wma's into Audio CD
format as D marks suggested. From there you can encode to a lossy
codec (mp3) using LAME or
lossless .wav. or a myriad of other file types. The point is the file
will no longer be protected. Any loss of sound quality from the
original wma? Not really.

Mp3 is not as good as the new AAC format. There is definetly a
discernable difference in sound quality bit for bit. In the not too
distant future there will be a flood of CD/"mp3" players that will
support this format. Therefore, I recommend keeping a duplicate set
in AAC format.
