Creat from contacts fails.

In what version of Outlook?

Win2k PC with Office 2003 SP2

Additional info, Outlook Express does not work and there are no *.WAB files

What happens if you use the FIle | Save As command on a contact to try to create a vCard .vcf file?

Outlook 2003 does not show a "Save As," it does have a "Export to vCard File"
option and that fails.

Addional info, the "Vcard Wixard" recommended by MS Help says the source for
my contacts is "\\Personal Folders\Contacts" mail server?

It almost sounds like you're not using Outlook at all. Outlook does indeed have a File | Save As command available for every type of Outlook item. I've never seen an Export to vCard File command in Outlook or heard of a vCard Wizard. Are you referring to the New vCard from Contact command on the Edit Signature dialog? If so, what happens when you click that button and select a contact from your Contacts folder?

"\\Personal Folders\Contacts" would be the path to the folder named Contacts in the Personal Folders .pst file that holds your Outlook data. It has nothing to do with any mail server.

The "vCard Wizard" is a recomended 3rd-party plugin that I was referred to
from Outlook Help, it adds an export feature to the "Outlook" File-menu to
create VCF files to My Documents.

I am using Outlook, >> Outlook 2003 SP2 <<, and the Contact Property's
"File" menu does NOT have a "Save As" just an "Export" menu option.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "the Contact Property's 'File' menu." Try this:

Go to your Contacts folder in the main Outlook window. Open a contact in its own window. Click File. Expand the File menu with the double chevron at the bottom. You should see, in order:

New
Save
Save and New
Save As
.... more commands

If you see something else, try resetting the Menu Bar.

If you still see something else, provide exact steps to reproduce the behavior.
