When you delete a user account in XP, you are given an option to delete all
of the files associated with this account. If you did not select this
option, then the files are still on the hard drive.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings and see if
the deleted user account folder name is still there. Hopefully, you will
find it.

If it is there, you will then need to take Ownership of those folders before
you will be able to open the files. This article will guide you through the
process.

If you wish, you can also transfer the files and settings from the deleted
user account into another user account. This article will guide you.
