how do u change the default program files to another partition?

hi how do you change the default program files location,
where all the programs install to another part of the
hard drive another partition?
 
At the point of installation, there is an opportunity to install to another
partition or drive..
 
If you do this, you'll break the programs that was installed with windows, i.e.
outlook express, internet explorer, paint, notepad, and some games among others.
If you want to install to another location, just run the install file and use
the custom option and then put in the alternative folder that you want your
programs to install to.
