I would like to try and understand how printer drivers produce the
print on paper. I have had a look under Google, but have so far not
found a relevant page.

Has anyone found a page that explians the details and technicalities.

Thanks

Needless to say that the driver (printer) is the interface (language), so
the computer can communicate with the print device.
For details on printing you should check printer languages such as
postscript, PCL etc.

I looked all over for that info in trying to get my i9900 to be
accurate. Finally I bought PrintFix on eBay and Dr. Pro from a
software supply house after a little shopping. These products are put
out by Colorvision http://www.colorvision.com/

After a lot of tinkering, ink, and paper, I finally decided that the
Dr. Pro was enough. Both products are a bit clunky to use as you can
see in reviews, but they do work.

Thanks for the response. My printer is a bubblejet
Any idea which language would be the most apt

Under windows98se

Best wishes

Up to now you didn't give any info about which Canon printer you are using.
Look up the specs of the printer in the manual or find them on the Canon
website.
