Hello,
I use Amazon a lot and would like to have their logo as a shortcut to their
home page on my desktop.
Is there a simple way I can achive this and use this method for other sites
such as E-bay?
Creating a shortcut isn't the problem but all I end up with is a large "e"
with a title under it, my desktop is full of those.
Thankyou

Eventually or immediately?

So you visit their web page in IE, click on the icon (even if it is just an
"e) in the Address bar and HOLD the mouse button and drag to the desktop and
you get....?

I think what he wants is the favicon to stay on his desktop as a link.
Here's MVP Kelly Theriot's tweak to retain favicons:

favourite icons (line 108, right column)

Hello Maluke,

I posted my question elsewhere on this forum.

Between you and another member the way my PC desktop looks has changed big
time in the last couple of days and for the better and I am very gratefull
for your reply.

I downloaded the software and I was away, simple, easy.

While I'm on a roll could I pose you another question I have asked it before
but got nowhere.

You know how folders/files are yellow if you create them on the desktop or
say in My Documents I want to change their colour, is there an easy way for
me to achive this?
Many thanks

This I can't tell you since I have never messed around with changing
folder colors in Windows. My guess is you'd have to use third-party
software but I'm sorry - I really don't know. Make a new post with this
question so others who may know will see it (most people will think
this thread is closed).

Cheers Maluke
I re-posted.
