How do I view Usernames in active directory users and comptuers

D

del

I have just upgraded from an NT4 domain and have been looking at the
"Active directory users and comptuers" (server 2003).

All the users are listed by their full names rather than their login
usernames and I can't for the life of me so how to change the view.

Also I noticed when I look at the "Account" tab in the user's
properties the "User Logon Name" is blank.

I am confused
Thanks - Del

Just a suggestion, but you might want to post this question to the
newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.server.active_directory.

Hope that's helpful --

Go to view/filter options - create custom and select customize. From there
you can select a view that includes logon names. In the account tab there
are two possibilities for names - the unc that uses the @domain for logon
and the pre windows 2000 name. Hopefully you have at least the pre windows
2000 name listed for the user. --- Steve

When I go into customize there is no "account" tab. The only tabs are
"Custom Search" and "Advanced".

Select create custom filter/customize. Then select field/ user and you will
see the options including logon name. You can use * to show all
ntries. --- Steve
