Hi, I want to have the data in my powerpoint charts available in a datasheet,
not linked to excel.
Any help available would be extremely welcome!
Many thanks, Louise

Hi, I'm using Powerpoint 2008 for Mac, V12.0.1.
I've had success using charts with datasheets instead of linking to excel in
PPT in earlier versions and this is what I'm trying to replicate.
Many thanks.

In PPT 2007 on the PC, you just use Insert | Chart. PPT 2007 uses Excel for
its charting, and that chart is embedded.

I don't know what happens in 2008, though. You should ask in the Mac group:
http://www.officeformac.com/ProductForums/ (You can get there via
http://www.mactopia.com, which might be a more familiar URL. )

thanks for your help. Insert / Chart still links to Excel - I think it's
probably the same with PPT on any platform. I've posted on mactopia - thanks
for the direction.

Insert | Chart doesn't link in 2007 on the PC. There is no external Excel
file created to link to.

Insert | Object does, though...
