How do I use the securtiy information to display a welcome messag.

Are you talking about displaying a welcome message in MS Access?

What I would like to happen is when the users enters in the logon
information to an access database a welcome message would be displayed on the
form that is being used to enter data into the database. I am using XP and
Access 2002.

You can place a textbox on your splash screen and set it to the value of
CurrentUser().
