I'm trying to put short videos from my camera onto a powerpoint. I uploaded
them onto my computer but the program won't put the videos on the slides. A
window just keeps poping up saying that the program cannot open the file.
Anybody know how to fix this? Maybe how to reformat the video file so I can
use it?

You can upload the films of your camera in Windows Movie Maker which will
make a film wmv you can insert in PPT

You might want to try PFCPro (it comes as a two week free trial so won't
cost you a thing.) With it you can automatically convert the video into a
PPT friendly format and do editing all from with in PPT.

Hi, I am looking for "code" or a way to force someone to click on a movie or
sound file on a slide before choosing an answer. As it is now they could
forgo the movie or sound file and just choose an answer thus going to the
next screen. I created my show in pp 2000 but have just ordered pp 2007 and
should receive it in the mail this week.

thanks for any help.

This should really be in a new topic, but I'll answer your question here (in
2007).

Insert all the answers (w/ hyperlinks) and the sound/movie (When Clicked).

Make a rectangle over all the answers. Then Format, set the Transparency to
100%, then Line Color, 100% transparency, then Close.
Then click Animations.

Click Custom Animation.
There should be an animation there already (that's your movie/sound).
Click on the rectangle, then Add Effect, Exit, then Disappear. Change the
new animation to Start "After Previous".

Now, when the the movie/sound is clicked and has finished playing all the
way through, the rectangle will disappear, allowing the answers to be clicked.
