How do I unload Windows XP Prof?

I can't get rid of it. I don't like it and don't want to
buy a license for it. I have a Gateway. I can't get to ms-
dos to format the C: Drive. Can anyone help?

Do you have the original restore disks from Gatway? Why not use them?

You don't state whether Windows XP came with your system or whether your
was an Upgrade operation. Do you have an Upgrade CD?
You won't get MS DOS to even see, let alone delete an NTFS partition.
You'll need to boot from the Windows XP CD, and delete the primary
partition. After that, you can use a Startup disk from another version of
Windows.
