How do I uninstall IE6 so I can reinstall

I am having a problem with IE 6. When I sign on to the
Internet, windows start popping up -
http://www.sandboxer.com/redirect.aspx etc. However the
windows are blank. A suggestion was made to uninstall IE6
and reinstall it. As I am on a cable modem and have
Netscape 7.1, I don't have a problem connecting to the web
but I would like to know what to look out for. Also for
anyone out there, I have run antiviruses, ad removal
programs, antipopup programs, and the MS fix IE
application. So the next step is to uninstall IE6 and then
reinstall. The next step is to replace the hard drive. Or
else buy another system and install Linus on this one.

Which ad removal programs have you used? It seems whatever you are using is
not doing the job, as what you are describing sounds like your browser was
"hijacked". Try Spybot Search and Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/ ,
AdAware http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
and Spyware Blaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html.
Read all the documentation with the programs and you should be able to
correct the problem and prevent future occurrences by using the appropriate
settings.
Are you using firewall software as well?
 
I don't remember which Ad removals I have tried other than
AdAware because I have tried many and AdAware is one I have
used for some time. I keep running it until nothing is
listed but still get the problem when using IE6 - no
problem with Netscape. I will try a few of the suggest ad
remeoval applications and make sure I know which I have
used. Any other suggestions will be well received too as I
don't want to remove IE and reinstall it.
