S sf Aug 13, 2005 #3 How do I type so it doesn't keep deleting what is already written in the paragraph. Click to expand... Look at the bottom... do you see "ovr" in black? Now toggle your "insert" key - it should turn gray. When "ovr" is black, you're overwriting text, when it's gray - you're not.
