How do I turn *off* text wrap for Internet mail?

This drives me nuts. I have not figured out a way to tell Outlook to stop putting hard returns in my mail messages. There does not appear to be a way to remove "automatically wrap text". The default of 76 works ok for most mail, but I also need to send commands via mail to a listserver, the command(s) must be on one line. So when doing this, I have to increase text wrap to 132 (the maximum) so my command will be on a single line. But this setting is horrible for standard mail since it makes a message look jagged. What I'd like to do is what Outlook USED to do back in O98, which is not wrap at all and allow the email client to do the wrapping.

How can I do this? I'm using Outlook 2003. The alternative is to stop using it completely and use Outlook Express or another email client.

It can be done, but it takes a registry change. See
