trying to use calendar in outlook as a log at the end of the day. Except if I
type directly into the calendar it automatically sets the reminder and then
the window pops up that I am overdue. this is annoying. Can I default the
reminder to off? How do I do this? Using outlook 2003.

Many thanks!

Tools | Options | right there is where you set the default reminder for
Calendar. Turn it off.

Yes well there are sooooo many settings in Outlook that it can take a long
time to find them all, even when they are right there.

View | Toolbars | check both Standard and Advanced. BTW if you tried Help
and typed Toolbar it would have told you.

You can also right click in the space to the right of the existing toolbar
and select the Advanced Toolbar from the context sensitive menu that pops
up.
