How do I transfer Works spreadsheet files into Excel

I have Works Suite 2000 spreadsheet files I wish to transfer to a new
computer running Excel but the two do not seem compatible- grateful for any
suggestions.

I have converted a works fill to excel by opening the works file and saving
is as an xls file then it will open in excel. So you would open the works
file goto>saveas> under file type select excel (or xls) or what ever they
have referencing it to excel (its been a while and the grey matter is working
overtime trying to recall!!!)

To my complete supprise I discover there is a Works newsgroup, which you
might want to look at:
