I have a new laptop with Outlook 2003 installed on it and need to transfer
all of my old outlook 2002 folders and inbox from my desktop to the laptop.
I've read the posts and have attempted to import the inbox and folders onto a
cd using a pst file. I then attempt to import the pst file onto the new
computer, and am giving a message that states that the file is not a pst
file.
Can anyone walk me through exactly what I need to do to copy my Outlook
folders and inbox from my old computer to my new computer? Thanks.

Quite an old post to be sure, but just in case someone stumbles upon it as I did here are a couple of plug-ins which may be of value in your situation. They make the whole process much easier without having to find PST files and go through a complicated import and export procedure:

- Pandali Folder Master - it has a wizard to guide you through copying several Outlook folders to another machine
- Outlook Backup - this one can also move over your email signature, rules, and other settings

They both have 30-day free trial periods.
