How do I transfer calendar data from one computer to another?

I tried to transfer my calendar data from an old computer to a new one. Only
my recurring entries transferred. I tried it through import/export, and then
through file/open/data files and neither one worked.

Import/export is not the correct way to do this. Start over and transfer
