How do I tell if my Windows XP has SP1 installed?

I have loaded Windows XP Home on to my computer, plus various drivers. Now I'm having problems, especially with the screen hanging, when I try to change display resolution and/or refresh rate. When I loaded the graphics card drivers, it wouldn't load DirectX. A message came up saying this driver is included in Service Pack SP1. I don't know whether this means it's already install, or I need to install SP1. How do I tell if SP1 is already installed? Bit of a novice - me.

If you have SP1 installed it will say so under Control Panel>System. If
not, download it from windows update.

Alan

Start>Run, type "winver"(no quotes), press enter. SP1 will show if
installed.
