How do I store previously typed entries on web pages?

i had to reinstall windows 6...previously all i would do is double click a
box on a web page and all previously typed entries would appear...now i have
to type every entry every time...where is the setting that will permit
this?...thanks

IE autocomplete doesn't work by 'double clicking' on a form field - it works
by starting to type and autocomplete populates depending on letters typed.

You say you reinstalled Windows. I reckon you had a third party application
or plug-in that gave you the double click ability - only you know what you
may have installed.
