How do I stop Outlook from auto deleting past appointments?? It appers to
delete all past appointments apart from the last 6 weeks or so. HELP! Thank
you.

Are you syncing with a balckberry or similar device ? Check the device or
your sync software and change the length of time the appointments are kept
on the device.

Calendar items moving into deleted items folder

For whatever it's worth, I'm having the same problems. However, I do sync with my BB. That said, I've left the settings as "forever" so it should never remove any items. I've also reinstalled MS Outlook so I'm guessing there's a setting/bug somewhere on MS Exchange that's causing my appointments to drop off. It's terribly frustrating.

I also have this problem. Have you ever found a solution for this problem?

Nope

Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet. I'm actually about to re-image my laptop hard drive and start from scratch to see if I can avoid the problem going forward. I'm also doing a hard reboot on my BB to ensure there isn't anything there that's causing the problem. I'm hoping by starting from scratch that this issue can get resolved, but this is obviously a bit extreme. I imagine there must be a better solution out there.

This could be the solution

I found something that might help solve this problem. If you go to Archive Folders, select calendar, right-click. go to properties and then setup outlook to clean evants that older than (say 36 months or longer), I think this could help solve the problem. Play with it, and let me know.

In outlook click file then archive and set the date against "Archive items older than" at a date well in the past. I set mine to 01.01.2000
