How do I stop Outlook booting automatically?

When starting my laptop (Sony VAIO VGN A197) Microsoft Outlook (2003) now
boots up automatically since loading XP Service Pack 2 to XP Proffessional.

This is a feature that I do not require and appears unnecessary. Outlook
also causes distortion of display graphics with my McAfee virus sofware which
also boots automatically at start up, but which I do wish to retain.

Is is necessary for Outlook to run at start up? How can I override this
feature?

I have just completed this and it worked fine :-)

good luck

You don't happen to run a Vaio computer from Sony? If so, it's a BIO
issue
which can be resolved by flashing it.

If not, maybe there's a similar issue with your BIOS. Upgrade to b

I have 12 Sony VAIO VGN-A130P and when I boot them they all fire u
Outlook Express or Outlook 2003 (if it's loaded.)

HELP! I can't find anywhere on the Sony site a BIOS update. Is ther
