How do I stop my document from entering Design mode?

I'm creating a form through Word with fields for text entry. The document
automatically opens in Design Mode, requiring the user to Exit Deisgn Mode
before text can be entered into the field. How do I set up the document to
open out of Design Mode?
 
This is for questions about Microsoft Access, not Microsoft Word.
