How do I specify the folder photos are in for import?

Whenever I am trying to import photos the program takes me to the useless My
Documents/Photos folder. My photos are stored eleswhere on my computer and I
would like the program to go to that folder whren I hit Import>Photos. I have
tried the Tools>customize and there isn't any place I can find to tell the
program what default folders I want to use, like I can in Word or Excel.

Any ideas out there? Thanks.
 
I'm not sure if there is a good answer to this, but I have something that
might work. Make a shortcut to the folder where you keep your photos. Put
that shortcut in the My Documents/Photos folder. When it goes to that
folder, you should be able to get your folder just by double-clicking the
shortcut. It's not direct, but it's close.
