how do I sort data numerically

I exported a lot list of material to an excel
spreadsheet. I want the lot numbers to print in lot
number order. E.g. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, etc. When I
do a sort by the column, I get the following: E.g.
1,10,11,2,3, etc.

How can I get my worksheet to show these numbers in order?

Your columns have become scrambled? If so, there's no alternative to starting
from scratch, copying the data into Excel again. Or did you not select all
columns and sorted only the column of lot numbers?
 
One possible answer is Harlan's, i.e., your data have got scrambled
because of a sort and you want to restore them. As he indicated, can't
be done without going back to the source.

The other interpretation of your question is that you want data in
multiple columns to sort in sync with the data in the column used as
the sort key. If so, just select all the cells before sorting. So, if
your data are in A1:H2000 and you want to sort by column B, select
A1:H2000 *before* starting the sort.
