I want to keep an appointment on my calendar and show that it has been
completed, not missed.

Currently there is no method to do this automatically except to go into the
appointment notes section and enter this information manually.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

That's very much a CRM software function - what you could do in Outlook is
categorise as Missed! those that you missed.

You could then view all Missed! ones.
