How do I show a transparent image on a form?

Hello all,

I am creating a databank app and have a form that compares two fields and
displays a check if the same or an X if different. That part works fine but
the images I am using are bitmaps and I want the background of the image to
be transparent. I tried converting to gifs using Photoshop Elements to no
avail. I have already set the image control background property to
transparent and have made the image control wider then the image to be able
to check it when running the app. Any help is greatly appreciated.
