How do I share Powerpoint files with others?

how do i share powerpoint files with my colleages so that they can view it
and how to compile different powerpoint slides linked together from different
computers in the office?
 
If your colleagues have PowerPoint, they can just open the files you give
them. Either email them the file or put it on a shared/network drive or hand
it to them on a CD or flash drive or whatever.

To compile slides from disparate presentations, use Insert | Slides from
Files. Navigate to the presentation, select the slides to insert, and press
Insert (or Insert All). Check "keep source formatting" at the bottom of that
dialog box if you want.

What do you mean, define the link? (I get the impression there's more to
your question, but I don't understand exactly what it is you are asking.)

my boss wants me to find out whether his powerpoint files can link to other
files by hyperlink or some sort, but those files are located at other
computers. He wants to make his powerpoint file visible and workable to other
colleages. so when a hyperlink in his powerpoint slide is activated, he hopes
that the source of the hyperlink from another computer can be opened.

PS: sorry for my bad grammar, i'm not good at expressing

Oh, your grammar is fine. Thanks for the additional information.

Generally speaking, you can add hyperlinks from one PPT slide to another PPT
file by right-clicking an object on a slide and choosing Hyperlink. Then
navigate to the PPT file you want to link to. If you want to go to a
specific slide in that file, click the Bookmark button.

However, if the PPT files are on someone's harddrive (like on the C: drive
in My Documents), then your boss won't be able to navigate to the file to
link to it. The file you're linking to needs to be on a shared drive of some
sort -- usually a network drive.

Of course, if he wants his files also accessible to others, it needs to be
on a shared drive also.

The file path to the files on the shared drive should be the same on all the
computers in order for this to work. In other words, your network drive
should be mapped with the same drive letter on all computers. (Like maybe
you designate the "S drive" for shared files throughout your company -- it
shows up as S: on everyone's computer.)

Is that kind of what you're asking? I suspect others will pop in with
additional advice on this subject, too.

thanks, that's about what i wanted to ask. although i do not quite understand
but i shall tell this to my boss..
