How do I share a public calendar?

We have a public calendar that everyone is able to view. We do use the
Microsoft Exchange Server. Is there a way to synchronize, or easily transfer
scheduled meetings and tasks, to each individual's personal calendars?
Basically we have 1 person who will be entering the meetings or tasks, but we
want the individual people to have it on their personal calendar, so they can
view and receive reminders. Sending an email to have them add it will be too
complicated for the individuals, and there are 20 people in our office, so
copying information will just be time consuming. Is there an automated way
to do this? I've seen this Global Calendar Sharing program, offered by SSI.
I would like a way to do this without having to purchase additional software.
If that is possible.

You have two choices that I can see: purchase a sync tool or purchase a
reminder tool.
