How do I setup my personal folder as primary folder?

I am just converting over to XP on a Dell D600. I have a previous PST file
from Outlook 2000 and I am trying to make my old pst the primary where all
new mail is delivered to that pst.
When I make the selection for "all new messages be delivered here:" and
submit this, it comes back with an error that my old pst is not in the same
format as my "ost".
I have tried to disable my offline folders but I am not able to due to the
selection being greyed out.
Any other options?

Thanks

An ost file is an offline storage file. It allows you to access your email
(copy of) offline when not connected to the Exchange server.

It seems that you are changing your mail delivery from a mailbox location on
the Exchange server to a personal folder on the local system. If at a
company, you may want to check with your IT or Exchange admin before doing
this.

However, if that is not necessary then you may want to search for all .ost
files (*.ost). Remember these are hidden so you will have to search for
hidden files. Once the are found rename them by right click on them and
rename the extension e.g. mailbox.ost1. Do this for each one.

The option for Send/Receive I believe is ony available if you are on
Exchange server therefore if you are not the options would be greyed out.

This is at least a place to start if this does not work we can go to the
next step. Such as checking the Outlook setup itself.
