i have setup a database in access and need to setup a report that will give
me information from a two and from date how can i set that up. also how can i
import an excel spreedsheet at the click of a button.

In the query under the date field you wish to evaluate, put in criteria
like...

Between [StartDate] and [StopDate]

Is there a way to put [Today's date] and [Tomorrow's date] so you don't have
to input it every day?

When I put this into an Access Project query, an error message states, "ADO
error: Date is not a recognized function name."

Do you have anything else in your project named Date? (A variable, a field
in a table, a function, etc.) Date is a reserved word, and you shouldn't use
it for anything that you've named.

If that's not the problem, then it's likely a problem with your References.

This can be caused by differences in either the location or file version of
certain files between the machine where the application was developed, and
where it's being run (or the file missing completely from the target
machine). Such differences are common when new software is installed.

On the machine(s) where it's not working, open any code module (or open the
Debug Window, using Ctrl-G, provided you haven't selected the "keep debug
window on top" option). Select Tools | References from the menu bar. Examine
all of the selected references.

If any of the selected references have "MISSING:" in front of them, unselect
them, and back out of the dialog. If you really need the reference(s) you
just unselected (you can tell by doing a Compile All Modules), go back in
and reselect them.

If none have "MISSING:", select an additional reference at random, back out
of the dialog, then go back in and unselect the reference you just added. If
that doesn't solve the problem, try to unselect as many of the selected
references as you can (Access may not let you unselect them all), back out
of the dialog, then go back in and reselect the references you just
unselected. (NOTE: write down what the references are before you delete
them, because they'll be in a different order when you go back in)

Are you sure it is valid for Access Project? I haven't found "Date" by
itself. They have GetDate, DatePart, Datediff, etc. Those don't work either
but for different reasons. I have been kicking this around for awhile.

I will study the references subject more deeply. The surface issues don't
solve the problem.

Ah yes, you're right: it's running on SQL Server, therefore you have to use
functions SQL Server knows about. I'm not 100% certain if GetDate() + 1 is
valid, though: you might have to use DateAdd(day, 1, GetDate()) instead.
