How do I set up XPSP3 for remote operation?

I have a remote computer in the same room.
I start it up by pressing the power button.
I turn it off thru its start menu.
It works fine...when it's working.

Problem is when XP decides to put up
a modal dialog box and hang. Happens on
shutdown when some program is not responding.
Happens on startup when not shutdown properly...usually
in response to the previous issue. I have no
keyboard/mouse/display on it to make any inputs.

Is there a set of magic incantations I can apply
to XP to force it to keep going without waiting
for input?

You have any software on your pc that is creatings problems.
Check your latest installations and try to uninstall the programs that are
not exentials.
At the end, try to reinstall WXP.
If the problem persists it can to have a hw origin.
