How do I set up pictures that would change every 5 sec in frontpg

I am setting up a webpage and the customer wants me to have pictures that
change roughly every 5 seconds or so. I tried something in flash but figured
there had to be a different way. Thanks..
 
Google for "javascript slide show"

It also could be done with an animated gif image
