I do not know how to set up word to print labels. I have clicked options and
selected the page size (the product number does not appear); I then clicked
new label and set it up exactly to the size of the labels etc. I now get a
message 'margins, label size, number across or down values produce a page
that is larger than the label size' when I click ok.
I have tried to change the sizes to accomodate but nothing works

What version of Word?

Which manufacturer and type labels are you trying to print. Labels not
listed in Word are rare.

That message usually occurs when you've got one or more measurements
wrong....
In your (secret) version of Word do you not get a little diagram of the page
when you are constructing your label?
