How do I set up a data base to print onto individual postcards?

I want to create a sales database with names and addresses that I can save,
add to, deduct from, and print directly onto post cards. Can I do this with
Word, or is there some software that I need? I have Microsoft Office 2003.

Do you have Microsoft Access? This is an Access discussion group. You may
have better luck in one of those groups.
The answer for Word is Yes, you can create your post cards with a mail
merge, the issue here is where you keep and update the data.

It is entirely possible to do so using Word & Access. If my memory
serves correctly (its been 7+ years since I've done this), here are the
general steps:

In Access:
Create a query that contains all of the information for the post cards
including selection criteria. If you're sending post cards to EVERYBODY,
you can forgo this step.

In Word:
Create a new Mail Merge. (Tools>Letters and Mailings>Mail Merge)
Then follow the steps to create a mail merge. In doing so, you'll be
prompted to supply Word with a data source and what not. From there it
should be pretty simple.
