I have been able to fix it (using the add-in by Chirag Dalal) so that new
presentations start w a blank slide, but when I insert a new slide it comes
up with all the titles etc. that I DONT WANT.
Thanx, Johan ([email protected])

Hi, would this work with 2007?

For school, I want to create powerpoints with the same basic format, but I
want the top ,title box to resize on overspill and to have text size about
30. I want the main text box to be 20 pt. I want a keystrake so that I get
this format.

Thanks

Mike

You don't need this add-in. You just need to go to slide master view (View
tab | Slide Master button) and make your changes to the title placeholder
and the content placeholder there on the slide master. The slide master is
the thumbnail at the very top in the pane on the left.

Make sure the changes you want populate down to the slide layouts (the
little thumbnails attached to the main, big, slide master thumbnail).

When you insert a new slide, it inserts by default the Title + Content
slide. That's the title placeholder and content placeholder, which sounds
like the one you want.

that's great. I have saved a new template with the changes.

The only problem is: the top Title box does not resize the text when it
overflows even tho' I have checked that box in "Format shape".

any hints?

thanks

Mike

Hm. I suspect it's because people don't like their slide titles all ending
up different sizes, but I'm not sure how to force it to turn on in a Title
Placeholder. Hopefully someone who knows will pop in with the solution.

Oh, duh. Ignore my other post.

Go to Office Button | PPT Options | Proofing and hit the button for
AutoCorrect. Check the two boxes for "autofit to title / body placeholder"
there on the "auto format as you type" tab.
