How do I set a default on Country in Outlook 2000 ... from USA to.

Sorry, first timers don't always realize how things will turn out .....

Every time I add a new contact to my listing, the default automatically sets
USA. I need to have this default to Canada.

Can anyone help in changing the default?

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

Thanks Russ - I did check the regional settings on the control panel and they
are set correctly ... but still the country defaults to USA in the contacts
on Outlook 2000

Any other suggestions?

No. I have no way of checking a version that old.
What's your default dialing location?

Default dialing location is set correctly to Alberta. I have the Que book on
using outlook 2000 but have not been able to find anything there either ...
possibly looking under the wrong heading. Any suggestions on that score?

Thanks in advance Russ.

No. Every version of Outlook I've seen picks up the country field from the
Regional Settings for the OS.

PS
What OS? How did you specify your country setting? Is it set to English
(Canada)?

Windows XP. Set country setting to English (Canada) for Standards and
formats using start/regional and Language Options and to Canada using
Location (both under the Regional Options tab). English (Canada) is also the
selection under the Advanced tab, Lauguage for non-Unicode programs.

Can't test it any further. Current versions of Outlook no longer display a
country by default.
