How do I send email to a subset of contacts within BCM

I have 4,000 odd records in Microsoft Outlook Business Contact Manager,
within various categories. Hiow can I send an email to certain categories,
but not others? At present, I have to send the email to all of them, using
the To: function or none at all!

Did you ever figure out how do send targeted e-mails through BCM...I'm
struggling with this thing!!
 
No, Ted, you are the first reply! I eventually downloaded them to Excel,
sorted them there, and copied and pasted into the seperate emails!

Why do you call me Manny?

This can be done with a filtered view and mailmerge.

It's somewhat difficult to explain, but works.

You would basically customize your view to include only the categories you
want to send to, and then simply run Tools -> Mail Merge [To e-mail]
