Hi, Im trying to save my movies to a mov. or an avi. file thru windows movie
maker. It will only give me the option of saving it as a MWSMM file. There
are no availbable options in the Save As drop down window. Why is this? Is
there another product on the market that will allow me to save as this type.
My main goal is to upload to UTube. UTube stated that windows movie maker is
a supported program by them and to try resaving as: Well, No luck. Its not
working. I even tried taking off the attached audio and that still didnt
work. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Movie Maker cannot save in the .mov format.

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

the IMPORTED file teling me that it will not accept DV/avi files???? Can you
offer any help for this problem please?
What I now do is IMPORT as Default ...for computer. All projects are then OK
to Edit and save...............Come to save Rendered movie back to tape and
MM refuses to do so

Thanks Michell, and John......................D'arcy

It's always best to begin a new
thread if you have a question.

I'm not sure I understand the question...
are you saying you cannot save
your files "back" to the camera?
