I don't want the "search" bar, and every time I open up
my browser it is still there. Is there anyway to save my
settings so that this doesn't happen?

Thanks,
Deb

Check your system for "hijackware".

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

Thank you so much; this did the trick. I was looking for
an old Outpost 2 game using Google, chose a bad site, and
came under full blown attack. After running Spybot and
Ad-Aware, I got rid of most of it, but I wasn't aware of
Hijack This--great tool and support. I will take your
advice and run scans daily.

Very scary what people are able to do to those of us not
so computer savvy. Good thing that people like you use
their power for good!

Thanks again,
Debbie
