How do I save FROM info in email template?

I have more than one server set up in my services now. I want to make
sending with both servers easier, though. One of the things I've done
is to set up 2 email templates. In order for me to know I'm using
correct TO and FROM info, I've filled in the fields in both templates
so they reflect correct info. It's been annoying forgetting to fill
that field in so a template has been the solution. But every time I
open the template I saved, the FROM field is blank (the TO field and
other info has been fine, though).

How do I make that FROM field info work, pls?

Thank you!

You shouldn't be using the From field in Outlook at all, unless you are
connected to an Exchange server and someone else has given you permission to
send mail for them. The proper way to choose a sending account depends on
your version of Outlook, and if it's Outlook 98 or 2000, your mail support
mode (check the second line of Help | About Microsoft Outlook -- it should
say either Internet Mail Only or Corporate/Workgroup).

One should never assume. Do you not consider that there might be
_other_ reasons than the one you state for using a From field?!

I have 2 servers I use, my ISP's and yahoo (via YahooPOPs!). So _I_
myself need to have the ability to send "from" two email accounts. It
is vital to fill that FROM field in a template. Do not make
assumptions like this, pls, when you respond.

Is there a way to make the template so that the FROM information can
be seen?

Thanks.

Except that I'm not assuming. There are _other_ ways to choose the sending
account in Outlook besides using the From field...I'm not sure why you are
choosing not to believe that. If you'd answer my question about your
Outlook version and (possibly) mail support mode, I can probably help you.
Here's an example: In Outlook 2000 configured in Internet Mail Only mode,
you would choose the sending account by clicking the down arrow next to the
Send button. However, if Outlook 2000 is configured in Corporate/Workgroup
mode, the only way to choose the sending account is to move the preferred
account to the top of the list in Tools | Services. The From field does not
figure into this equation whatsoever.

What you have just described is exactly the reason she stated above and the
FROM field is not the proper way to select the sending account. What is the
proper way is going to depend largely upon what version of Outlook you're
using and perhaps what mode you're using it in.
