American Airlines sent me a confirmation of my flight reservation as an ics
attachment. I thought I could just save it to my outlook calendar but I
haven't figured out how to do it.

Is it an attachment to a message? Just drag the attachment to the Calendar or
open the attachment and click File>Copy to Folder, specifying the Calendar as
the destination.

I never thought about that. It seems to have worked except the time is
wrong. But I think that is because I live in Switzerland and the
reservations are in US time. Is there any way to edit the event once I have
dragged it over?
Thx.

Open it in your calendar and change it or, using the Day view, drag it to the
correct time.

It doesn't allow edit but I can drag it.
Thx.

More info... it won't allow edit because I am not the organizer

Well, you could simply edit the ICS file with, say, Notepad prior to saving it
to the calendar. It's just a text file. You could look to see who the
organizer is in the ICS file and either remove the ORGANIZER statement from
the ICS file altogether or replace the value of the MAILTO clause with your
own e-mail address, then add the ICS to your calendar.
