Got an original DVD but no trailer on it. Would like to download the
trailer to hard drive so can show friends what movie is about
(http://videodetective.com/home.asp?PublishedID=3626&VideoKbRate=300&Alt
ID=&CustomerID=14817&WM=False&Ads=True&Play=False&Shorten=False) but am
struggling how to do it.
Is there a Freeware app that can do this?
Thanks

Since you're using Outlook Express as your newsreader, I will assume
that you are using Internet Explorer as well. Right click on the
download link and select "Save Target As"

When I try that a box comes up with Filename: home.html and File type:
HTML document. So it won't allow me to save the video trailer. Any other
ideas?

The only other thing that I know of would be to use the player you use
to view the file with to save it as it is being played. If yours isn't
capable of this, then I would suggest that maybe another freeware
application/player could be used. I'm not that versered in audio/video
stuff to recommend one, sorry!
