I have a user whose system crashed, killing all manner of data, including his
web site. Starting over again, Front Page was installed, but we can't figure
out how to retrieve his web site for future editing. Any help would be
appreciated. (It's my piano teacher and I have to see him every Saturday...)
Tx.

Of the live/remote site is located on a server that has the FP extensions, then open the site
directly in FP and then publish it back to the local computer.

I don't know if the server containing the web page has FP extensions, but
I'll give it a try per your instructions. Thanks for your help.

Status report: The web page is not located on a LAN where the FP files
reside. The site is on the WWW. I could not find anything within FP that
permitted me to access the web site, let alone pubish it. Any advice?

How are you trying to open the remote site? What errors do you get?

The correct method, if the site has FrontPage extensions, is
File->Open Site and choose the website from the list, or type in the URL in
the form http://www.example.com
