How do I restrict printing by OU?

I would like to set certain printers up, so only members of a specific OU
can print to it.
I know how to set a printer so only a certain, Group, Person, or Computer
can print to it, but I don't see a way to do it via an OU, nor does anyone
else seem to have asked this (stupid?) question in any google-able newgroup.

Bruce,

You can't. You'll have to create security groups which contain the members
of each OU, and then ACL the printers by group.

Thank you.
Am I not understanding something, or is this kludgy?
Is it not natural to assume people would would members of certain OU's to
print to only their printers, without having to create a new security group?
it seems like doing it the old NT4 method.

Their are people in the IT Department. Their is no single security group
that covers them all, but their is one OU that covers them all. So i can add
the Help desk, admins, staff etc, but can't move the printer into the IT OU
and be done with it.

Am I completely missing a concept? Thanks for you help.

Bruce,

There is not an automated way to do this. You're not the only person to have
this requirement. You'll either have to keep groups updated manually, or
implement some type of automated solution.
