How do I restore old messages and address book contacts?

Due to a issue with McAfee, I had to reinstall Outlook. Is there a way to
restore my old e-mail messages and address book contacts?

Hi Meredith,
please search your pst file on your hard drive (also search in hidden files
and folders)
open Outlook FILE > OPEN > DATAFILE and point to the pst you have found
before
