I used find for an appointment and my normal calendar view disappeared and I

There's no such things and an "archived" view. Which Find did you use? If
you used the "Look for" drop-down, then click the Clear button at the right
end to show all your events. If you mean you have a table view, then select
"Day/Week/Month" (if that's the view you want) in the View drop-down on the
Advanced toolbar or click View>Arrange By>Current View>Day/Week/Month. If
that view isn't the one you want, choose the one that is.

Thanks Brian!

It was not the "Archived View" as I stated, but the "Filtered View." I am
dyslexic and never saw the suggestion you made until 2.5 hours had passed.
After staring at the seeming impossble situation, I suddenly spotted the box
at the top and corrected the problem imm, ediately. I felt like a fool and a
genius at the same time. It was so simple to bring back my calendar. None
of the suggestions that I read from MS Office helped. Thanks again.

This sounds like my problem. Instead of a calandar format I now have a list
of calendar items that looks like a data base with info in colums. I want my
calendar format back. Any ideas?

The same answer applies to you. Did you even try it? You're looking at a
table view. Change the view to a non-table view.
